Intimate by design
Ghan House is small on purpose. Weddings here are overnight affairs, not day-trips. Thirty guests, or forty, or fifty – the whole house is yours, the whole night. Your people sleep here. You breakfast together the next morning. That’s the difference.
The Drawing Room sits comfortably up to 50 for dinner; the walled gardens suit a drinks reception of up to 120. Catering is by our own 2 AA Rosette kitchen. The house is yours on the day and the night, with the option of the following morning for an unhurried breakfast.
Exclusive use
The house and gardens, yours overnight.
Exclusive use means no other guests in the house or gardens. You arrive when you like, dine when you like, and the bridal suite is yours. Bedrooms are offered to your party at a reduced rate, and we don’t take lunch bookings on the day of the wedding – or usually the morning after.
2026: €2,500 Sun–Thu · €3,000 Fri · €4,000 Sat. 2027: €3,000 Sun–Thu · €3,500 Fri · €4,500 Sat. The Saturday rate hasn’t moved since 2013. Service charge stays at your discretion.
For more than 30 guests, or if you’d like a band, DJ or civil ceremony, exclusive use is required. Smaller weddings can take the whole house too – many do.

Where the day takes shape
All three rooms have log fires, candlelight and views of Slieve Foy, the Mournes or the walled gardens. Use one. Use all three across the day.
The Drawing Room
Rococo ceiling, log fire, and views of the Lough, the Mournes and the gardens. The room most couples choose for sit-down dinner.

The room for the band, the DJ and the late dancing. Maple dance floor, 75″ touchscreen, Marantz stereo – and views of Slieve Foy and Carlingford Lough.

For smaller weddings or as the second room across the day. Garden and Mourne views, log fire, the same Georgian quiet.

By the fireplace. Or next door, when it’s bigger.
Civil ceremonies are very welcome. We can host yours in front of the open fire here for up to 50 guests – or, if the guest list is larger, at the adjacent Heritage Centre, a short walk through the gardens.
